Singing praise and worship was not something I had planned but it became God’s mandate in my life. I was reminded of how He found me and how I have been transformed, so I said Yes . I want to tell everyone about the love of God. I want to be a voice of courage to all who are suffering and for those who feel inadequate. I want to sing life over every listener. For all to understand that God created diversity and He has purpose and a great destiny for anyone He created. It is my top priority to usher people into God’s presence.
As a gospel minister, I work under ‘authority’, going where God leads, singing in languages as instructed, with songs inspired by His word. I get most songs from dreams where I hear melodies being played or a choir singing a song. At times it comes in the form of a story where I hear a voice narrating what is going on in the dream. When waking up, I quickly put what I heard and/or seen into songs and lyrics. I also choose song themes based on personal circumstances which helps me be honest with myself and the listeners.
Growing my audience is central to my current phase in the ministry. I need to let people know who I am, my purpose as an artist and what I stand for. Therefore, I am working with internationally renowned music producers that believe in my mission and the call placed on my life. I’m doing a lot of cover songs mostly in the Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa language (three main languages in Nigeria) and also in English and Spanish. I’m also releasing more original songs in English and Yoruba so the message is not limited to just one nation but it will be available to all.
